I wrote two fellowship proposals and one exhibition proposal for Sayge to support her creative practice. Through my collaborative process, we discussed the heart of her work and I built language to communicate her practice in the grant narrative context.

“My embodied artistic practice has always felt difficult to write about. I reached out to Adrienne to help me write a few grants and to come up with language around what I have been trying to put into words. Working with her has been such a gift. She has the ability to take my ramblings and turn them into beautiful writing, distilling them into the most important parts. I feel like she was able to put to words all that I’ve been trying to say.

Adrienne comes with an understanding of the arts and Black, queer communities. She is a gifted listener who is able to affirm with kindness and integrity, then create magical work. I will continue to work with her for as long as I can.”
